How to Get on SAOVA's Verified PAWS Opposition List

SAOVA (Sportsmen and Animal Owners Voting Alliance) is keeping the only verified list of organizations formally opposing PAWS. Here's how to add your group to the list.

Your club should write a letter to the Senate Agricultural Committee and fax it to the contacts below, then email it to rkaneinc@ns.gemlink.com.

The letter can be short and simple. Just two or three reasons you oppose PAWS are enough. The Senate bill number is S.1139 - Pet Animal Welfare Statute of 2005. A sample letter is at the end of this email.

At the top of the letter just above the salutation, create a subject line: Oppose PAWS -- SB 1139

Address the letter to Senator Saxby Chambliss, cc to the Senate Agricultural Committee.

The letter should be signed by the president or secretary of the club.
